Adopting a child is a life-changing decision, one filled with love, joy, and the promise of a better future. With the continuous increase in school fees and the effect of covid -19 and the Russia-Ukraine War on the job market, scholarships are becoming more critical for needy families.

As parents, we seek to provide the best scopes for our children, and education plays a pivotal role in shaping their future. Scholarships for adopted children offer a promising avenue to support their academic journey, fostering growth, development, and a brighter tomorrow.

The U.S. Department of Education data states that yearly an estimated 46 billion dollars will be funded by the government funds in scholarship programs. This program says that state scholarships are given to 16% of students from those scholarship funds. In contrast, private scholarships are provided to 13% of students. The data also implies that 97% of students awarded less than $2500 scholarships, while 0.2% received $25,000 or more.

School Fees in the United States |Financial Aids

In the US, most parents prefer private schools for their children because the learning environment of private schools is better than public schools. There are more than 22,000 private K-12 educational institutions exist in the US.

According to Hanson 2021, private schools’ tuition fees rose by 28% between 2007-08 to 2020-21. Moreover, the national average private tuition fee for 2022-2023 the private schools is $12,326 each year.

In the US, most private schools offer financial help through scholarships to students having merit like academic, artistic, or athletic abilities. Still, this scholarship for each private school has different standards. 28% of the students of the private schools are enrolled for scholarships, with an average award per scholar granted of $11,500.

Public schools in the United States are open to all kinds of children through 12 grade high schools from kindergarten, and by law, everyone has the right to free education. And tuition fees for these public schools are free. However, all adults who own property, like houses, land, cars, boats, etc., must pay the property tax, and some of those taxes must go to the public school system.
